YES is pleased to announce that our organization received $2,000 from the City of Boston Community Engagement Cabinet as part of the 2024 Mayor’s Youth Sports Grant. YES was one of 40 grantees awarded a Youth Sports Grant. We are honored to be recognized as an organization fostering outdoor youth development opportunities for local students in Boston Public Schools.

Grant funds will help YES purchase new equipment for our year-round outdoor youth development programs that serve BPS students.  This includes skiing and snowboarding as part of YES’s Operation SnowSports program and trail biking as part of YES’s Outdoor Adventure program.  YES is committed to providing equipment for young people to use in our programs as a way to ensure that equipment access and cost are not barriers to participation.

“Our commitment to the success of our youth involves ensuring that they have equitable access to recreational activities and that they receive the best resources available for them,” said Mayor Michelle Wu. “I am grateful for these organizations that will help us carry out this vision and help strengthen our communities through youth sports.”

YES is grateful to be selected as a Mayor’s Youth Sports Grant recipient and proudly supports the City of Boston’s efforts to foster a safe and accessible environment for youth sports in our shared community.
